Mass of the Holy Spirit for 8th Graders at the Oakland Cathedral

Yesterday, Our 8th graders were blessed with having the opportunity to visit the Oakland Cathedral. This very special place of worship is also called the Cathedral of Christ the Light. It is where the Bishop of Oakland resides and the first cathedral built entirely in the 21st century. Further, it replaced the Cathedral of Saint Francis de Sales that was was damaged beyond repair during the Loma Prieta Earthquake of 1989.

Apart from appreciating the Cathedral Complex's architecture and various structures, our students also were privileged to meet, spend time and celebrate mass with Bishop Barber himself.

We are truly grateful to the Diocese of Oakland for helping us give a very special spiritual experience for all those who joined the trip!
