-         Public speaking & listening skills.

-         Vocabulary (word derivations, pronunciation, definitions).

-    Deductive reasoning, following directions.

-    Proper sentence structure (fragments & run-ons, identifying subject & predicate).

-         Building paragraphs (topic sentence, supporting details, ending sentence).

-         Writing expository, descriptive, and narrative essays (prewriting, writing, revising, proofreading, publishing).
